Authentic, cozy and surprising
With its unique structure, Casa Rafaela is one of the most iconic houses in Peñalba de Santiago.
It retains its circular stone oven, chestnut woodwork and a slate roof that was carefully built using manual techniques. It has two spacious double rooms, one of them with access to an intimate terrace overlooking the valley.
Rafaela's name is in memory of its previous owner, a neighbor from Peñalba to whom we had special affection.
Casa Rafaela was completely rehabilitated in 2023-2024. In our blog we tell you how this process went step by step.
It is a cozy home for up to six guests.

The upper floor is an open space with kitchen, living area and a nest opening sofa-bed.
It has spacious double bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, as well as a terrace overlooking the valley of Silencio.
For the colder months it has underfloor heating that distributes optimal heat to all rooms.
